THIS CAR CAME IN TWO TONE PAINT AND THIS IS THE FACTORY COLORS AS WHEN IT WAS BUILT. IT IS POWERED BY THE SMALL 264ci V8, 188 HORSEPOWER ENGINE WITH A VARIABLE PITCH DYNAFLOW TRANSMISSION. THIS BUICK WAS BUILT IN KANSAS CITY IN LATE 1954. IT SPENT MANY YEARS SOMEWHERE IN MISSISSIPPI. JUST A FEW YEARS AGO IT WENT ON TO AUSTIN TEXAS TO BE RESTORED. Excellent example of the 'Pillarless Sunroof Coupe'. Built from 1968-71 this car has the dependable 6-cylinder engine, Behr AC, Hirschman red dot elec antenna, rare three band Becker radio and manual windows. Excellent mechanically and a daily driver.
As a teacher of teens, a veteran one, I wanted to see the kids reaction to a car as old as their teacher. Both I and this Black beauty probably took nine months to build. Well, when the seniors ask for a graduation ride, they marvel at details like ash trays & back seat hand-strap, to how it cruises smoothly. More later, E.D.
